Jonathan “Johnny” Brown Melugin II, resident of Burleson, TX, passed away on July 27th, 2023 at Hospice House at Huguley at the age of 74 years old.
Johnny was born in Fort Worth, TX to Bert and Ozie Melugin. He grew up in the Fort Worth area and went to school at Trimble Tech. After graduating from high school, he worked as a Maintenance Technician for multiple companies including Texas Steel, Gearhart, and Sewell Plastics. Most of his life was lived in Burleson, TX raising his four boys in the home he built for them. He loved Jesus and worked hard to raise his family in the church. While working, Johnny coached his sons’ baseball teams, ensured every year they took family vacations, and showed his boys how to work on cars, taught them woodworking, and how to be handy around the house. He leaves behind a legacy with his four sons that can be characterized as loving, caring, family oriented, and hard-working.
Children: Jonathan & his wife Melanie, Philip & his wife Lena, David & his wife Layna, and Jared & his husband Patrick.
Grandchildren: Kaytlynn, Chloe, Cate, Noah, Amelia, and Anna.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Bert, his mother, Ozie, his sister Phyllis, and his brother Merl.
The viewing will be held on Tuesday, August 1st from 5-7pm at Lucas & Blessing Funeral Home at 518 SW Johnson Ave, Burleson, TX. The graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 2nd at 9am at Bethesda Cemetery at 100 W. Bethesda Rd, Burleson, TX.
