Jonathan R. "Rusty" Wilcox, passed away on Monday, May 25, 2020 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Jonathan was born on April 2, 1958 at Harris Hospital in Fort Worth. His parents were Johnie and Peggy Wilcox of Euless, Texas, where Jonathan grew up and graduated from Euless Trinity High School.
His early years of employment was with Allied Fueling Services where Jonathan fueled aircraft at DFW airport. Most of his other working years was with various trucking companies. He was employed by Schneider, M&M, and last was Beaver Transport Services in Oklahoma City. He also was a licensed A&P mechanic and worked for American Eagle for a short period. He was an avid sports fan and loved all sports but was particularly fond of fishing.
He spent many hours fishing the waters of Possum Kingdom Lake and several other lakes, but mostly at Possum Kingdom. He was never a hunter, as he was an animal lover, but was interested in football, baseball, and NASCAR as well, but his most important activity was fishing.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy Wilcox; paternal grandparents, A.J. and Ella Wilcox of Euless; maternal grandparents Jack and Wave Pruitt of Fort Worth.
Survivors: He was survived by his father, Johnie Wilcox of Caldwell: sister, Darra McWhorter of Burleson; and brother and sister-in-law Michael and Cindy Wilcox of Granbury; Also Jonathan's very special friend, Mark Midkiff of Corpus Christi., along with uncles and aunts, Bill and Elizabeth Wilcox, Jack and Diane Wilcox, Barbara Copeland, Frank Wilcox, Bobby and Laura Wilcox; and many nieces and nephews.
Jonathan's family will hold a private Memorial Service Saturday at Lucas Funeral Home.
