Dear Jordan,
I never imagined I would be a widow. I never imagined that I would be here in this place.
I have been fighting a battle this week. A battle I never wanted or thought I’d be in. My heart is broken knowing that I am doing this life alone. Hard things are going to happen, but I never imagined being here.
I knew you to be a man who loved big, and laughed hard. You were a hard worker and a great daddy. You loved your friends without condition and seemed happy to all who knew you. I didn’t know you were hurting. I didn’t know you were suffering. I didn’t see the signs over the last nine years until it was over.
I am hurting now with all the weight you left me with. Your kids are hurting with all the suffering you left them with. We are not fine without you. Our lives are forever changed.
I didn’t know for the last nine years you dealt with depression and mental illness. I hate the stigma that men aren’t supposed to feel. I hate that now we are left here without you, because you didn’t think we could help you. I hate that for the rest of our kids’ lives they are going to miss you and want you here.
Please know that we love you so much and always will.
‼️If you or anyone you know is struggling, please know I don’t mind listening to you. I want you to live. I want you to help your babies grow up. I want to help you. Suicide is preventable. Please know you are not alone.
 You. Are. Enough.
