Jorge Antonio Reyes, age 55, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2024 in Fort Worth, Texas, surrounded by his loved ones. Tony was the eldest child of Juan Antonio Reyes and Esmerelda Reyes. He was known to many as Tony, to others as Georgie but he will always be remembered as a great husband, uncle, brother and friend.
Born on January 30, 1969 in Lubbock, Texas, Jorge graduated from Monterrey High School where he was a proud member of the Monterrey High School football team. Following graduation, Tony entered the work force where he spent the majority of his career in the food service industry, most recently as Regional Food Director for LaSalle Corrections. Tony played as hard as he worked. His passions included fishing, traveling, gardening, golfing, being a "dog" dad, and being continuously frustrated by his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys.
Although Tony had many passions, his life was defined by his unwavering love and commitment to his family. He was a devoted husband of 28 years to Stacy Reyes and a loving brother to his three sisters: Monica Reyes, Cynthia Darrah, and Rosalinda Farney. Tony also was blessed with 7 nieces and nephews, as well as 2 great nieces.
Additionally, Tony had a special bond with his in laws as well; Tracy and Jamie Daniel, Shane Daniel and Erica Elkins, and Vance Daniel which led to numerous special memories. He held his family close to his heart and cherished every moment spent with them.
Tony found joy in the simple pleasures of life and shared his warmth, kindness and storytelling with all who knew him. Whether he was spending time with loved ones or pursuing his passions, Tony lived life with a genuine spirit of generosity and compassion. In addition to his wife and sisters, Tony leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will be forever treasured by his family and friends.
Although Tony may have left this world, his spirit will forever live on in the hearts and memories of those who were blessed to have known him. In honoring his life, let us find solace in the cherished moments shared, the lessons learned, and the love that continues to bind us together. May Tony's journey onward be met with peace, and may his legacy of kindness, love, and strength continue to inspire us all.
