Jose Luis Valdez

Joe, of Dallas, TX (Oak Cliff), passed away on 9/9/19 in Dallas, TX. In Oak Cliff he was also known as “El Pipiripau” and “Gorgeous Joe”.

He will always be remembered as a loving father, and friend to all that knew and loved him. Joe was retired from the City of Dallas Parks and Recreation after 30 years. He will always be remembered for that contagious laugh and funny personality. He loved music and had a diverse taste in music. He loved his beer and cigs but most of all he loved his children and grandchildren and would do anything for them.

Joe is survived by his children, Elva Jasso of Mansfield TX; Elizabeth Valdez of Grand Prairie, TX; Michael Valdez of Portland, OR; Alice Valdez Wallace of Keller, TX; his sisters Delia Rodriguez of Dallas, TX; Nati Trevino of Dallas, TX; and numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Joe was preceded in death by his beloved grand daughter Stella Isabel “Birdie” Lee Wallace.

The visitation will be held from 6-8 o’clock p.m. on Friday, 9/13/19 at Lucas Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, 9/14/19 at Bourland Cemetery.
