Joseph was born to parents Joseph Drysdale and Vergie Kathern Oram, on Mar 23, 1929 in Ogden, UT.

Joseph and Barbara had 6 children: Joseph Michael Drysdale, Richard Ward Drysdale, Kenneth Robert Drysdale, Kimberly Joanne Drysdale, Nathan Lim Drysdale, and Daniel Forrest Drysdale. Barbara passed on Dec 24, 2008.
Joseph married Dorthy Mae Grammer on Dec 20, 1964 and while they did not have a child together Dorthy had a daughter Sharon Elayne Ware. Dorthy passed away Nov 6, 1995.
Joseph married Nadine Marie Puhlman on Dec 19, 1997. Joseph and Nadine did not have any children together but Nadine had a son Bruce Seldon Parrish and a daughter Beverly Ann Parrish. Nadine passed on Jan 16, 2018.
Joseph is survived by son Richard Ward Drysdale, son Kenneth Robert Drysdale, daughter Kimberly Joanne Mask, son Nathan Lim Drysdale, daughter Sharon Elayne Buswell, son Bruce Seldon Parrish, 28 grandchildren, and 42 great grandchildren.
Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, sister Norma Stirdivant, brother Robert Drysdale, loving wives Barbara Jeanne Keeffe, Dorthy Mae Drysdale, Nadine Marie Drysdale, and children...son Joseph Michael Drysdale, son Daniel Forrest Keeffe, and daughter Beverly Ann Parrish Carney.
Joseph grew up in Ogden Utah where he lived all through his high school years and early college days before he joined the United States Air Force on Dec 20, 1948 were he served honorably until he retired on Dec 31, 1968. Following his time in the Air Force, Joseph retired to Irving Texas with his wife Dorthy Drysdale and family and remained in the DFW metroplex for the remainder of his life. When he retired to Texas he went to work for Recognition Equipment (REI) where he served as a staff engineer until he retired in March 1990.
Joseph was a very sincere, generous, and loving man who had a great sense of humor. You would always find him and his brother (Bob) laughing, playing gags on each other or even each others kids. Once Joseph and Bob were both retired they would take trips together with their wives across most of the US. He loved to travel, work in his yard (always had beautiful yards), spending time with family, and serving in his church (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints). If there was a charity who reached out to him he would probably make a donation. So much of his life was devoted to helping, giving, and serving others.
His 2 main charities he always made sure to give to were the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Association, and the Alzheimer's Association...these were the 2 diseases he lost his last 2 wives to.
If anyone wanted to contribute something to honor Joseph Ward Drysdale's life and passions please consider making a donation to one of these charities in stead of sending flowers.
