Joseph Frank Fuchs

March 3, 1942 — September 29, 2019

Joseph “Joe” Frank Fuchs passed away on September 29, 2019 at 4:00pm in Bedford, Texas.
Joe was born March 3, 1942 in Buffalo, New York to the late Joseph and Helen Fuchs. At the age of 10 the family moved to Richland Hills, Texas. He graduated from Lineri Catholic Boys High School in Fort Worth and Texas Tech University with a degree in Communications. While at Texas Tech he was a member of Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity and was a DJ at Tech’s radio station, KTXT 88.1 FM. His on air name was Jay Weaver.
After graduating, he moved back to the Metroplex and worked in Dallas at Employers Insurance of Texas. There he met his wife Rhonda. He was involved as a DJ at several radio stations. Joe then switched careers to become a home builder, Joe Fuchs Homes Inc., and had his own real estate business. He was active in the Hurst Community, including Planning and Zoning for 30 years.
Joe was an avid car enthusiast and rebuilt a 1937 Chevy Pick Up. He enjoyed visiting with his car friends at the Neighborhood Cafe. Joe enjoyed the history of the Fort Worth area and many friends enjoyed his “road trips” driving to different points of interest. The Stagecoach Inn could find his dancing on many weekends. Most of all Joe enjoyed his family.
