Joseph Passamano

December 7, 1939 — September 20, 2012

Joseph (Joe) Alphonso Passamano, 72, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and child of God, went to be with his Lord and Savior September 20th, 2012.  Born in New York City, December 07, 1939, he later went on to serve his country in the Korean Conflict.  During his time in the service, he met and fell in love with a special country girl from Gatesville, Texas named Sherry Chambers.   They  were married and blessed with four children .  Throughout his career as an Auto Body Teacher at South Grand Prairie High School, he was an inspiration and role model for many students.  Joe served the Lord most of his life and dedicated time throughout his life witnessing to strangers, ministering to homeless, and encouraging friends and family members to put God first in their lives.

Joe could frequently be seen cruisin' in his 1959 Buick Invicta Convertible with the love of his life of 53 years, Sherry Passamano. Their unbreakable love and commitment for each other has been a beautiful love story.  Admired for his great love of his family, famous Italian food, restoration of classic vehicles, model railroading, making jokes and putting a smile on everyone's face, he will be greatly missed.
