Joseph Cleland Rentfrow was born in Baltimore, Maryland on January 19, 1956. He grew up in Southern California, Shawnee, Oklahoma and Fort Worth, Texas. Joe graduated from Azle High School in 1974 and completed his BBA in Marketing from University of Texas in Arlington. He worked in grocery management and psychiatric care before settling in his dream job of selling Chevrolets at Moritz Chevrolet for 18 years. At Moritz he found an extended work family that loved him deeply. He was known for his selfless service, kind and giving heart, his work ethic and always going out of his way to meet his customer’s needs. Joe had a true servant’s heart and would do anything to help another person. He loved to talk all things Chevy and he was so proud of the legacy of Moritz. He will be remembered for his extravagant pranks, his humor, his generosity and his random advice.
Joe fought a two-year battle with cancer that ended December 15, 2020. He was greeted with open arms in heaven by his parents Clifford Cleland Rentfrow and Della Mae Hill Rentfrow.
His family that loved him and will miss him every day is Wan Pen Adams, two sisters Lori Rentfrow and Jana Rentfrow Pinson, a brother-in-law Grover Pinson and two nieces Teddi Pinson Iley (Wesley Iley) and Jacci Pinson. Joe loved his family dearly and his last words were “I love you guys.”
Services will be held on Wednesday, December 30th at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst located at 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst, Texas 76053 with Visitation at 10:00 a.m. and Service at 11:00 a.m. Followed by interment at Old Hall Cemetery in Lewisville, Texas.
