Born in the heart of New York City on October 20, 1963, Joseph was the son of Madeline and Xavier Tetro, and the brother of Steve, Richie, Paul, and Michelle. He shared the love of his 4 children with Bernadette Mostyn; Dylan, Amanda, Ian, and Olivia and a doting grandfather to Pierce, Ava, and Kaitlyn.
Joseph's life was marked by his passion for music, particularly The Beatles, and his unwavering love for the New York Yankees. He had an infectious sense of humor and a gift for engaging in meaningful conversations, always leaving a lasting impression on those around him. His love for laughter and good company made him a cherished friend and a beloved family member.
Joseph's culinary skills were unmatched, and he took great pride in his ability to create delicious meals. He cherished the tradition of Sunday Italian dinners with his parents, where he shared his love for cooking with his family. His warmth and generosity extended beyond the kitchen. His ability to know when to call you and what to say was a gift. His door was always open and a lending ear to anyone who needed him.
Joseph's journey began in Old Bridge, New Jersey, where he attended Saint Ambrose Catholic School from 1970-1976 and Jonas Salk Middle School, forming lifelong friendships along the way. He continued his education at Madison High School. In 1979, Joseph made the bold move to Texas, where he graduated from Richland High School in 1982, marking the beginning of a new chapter in his life, where he made lasting connections and embraced new experiences.
Throughout his life, Joseph found joy in his role as a father and grandfather. He adored his grandchildren and took great pleasure in watching them grow and thrive. His love for his family was unwavering, and he leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion that will be cherished for generations to come.
In his professional life, Joseph pursued his passion for music as a DJ by night and shared his talent as a baker during the day as a young adult. His dedication to his craft and his ability to bring joy to others through his work were a testament to his kind and lively spirit. Joseph retired in 2019 as an Electrical Sales Representative working in Dallas, Texas.
Joseph will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His laughter, warmth, and unwavering love will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
