Josephine Spinks, 101, passed away March 20, 2023, in Burleson, Texas.
A visitation will be held from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at Lucas & Blessing Funeral Home, 518 SW Johnson Ave., in Burleson.
Josephine was born February 12, 1922, in Burleson, Texas to Benjamin Dewey and Jennie Lou Richardson. She grew up in Burleson attended Burleson schools.
She married L.W. Spinks in 1937 and were married for 73 years. She worked with her brothers for many years at the Burleson Wrecking Yard. She enjoyed growing her roses and working in the garden. She loved to bake and spend time with family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, L.W. Spinks, son Jimmy L. Spinks, brothers Martin A. Richardson, Orville G. Richardson, Thetford L. Richardson, and Wilshire C. Richardson, and sisters Clara Williams and Mary Lou Reeves.
Josephine is survived by a sister Patricia Massey, Burleson, Texas and brother Jimmy Richardson and wife Brenda, and by her grandsons Todd Spinks, Weatherford, Texas, and Mark Spinks, Galveston, Texas and five great grandchildren.
