Juanita Silva Ramirez of Beeville, Texas graduated to Heaven on November 24, 2023, in Hurst, Texas. She will always be remembered as a loving mother to all who knew and loved her. She was born on October 30, 1924, in Clareville, Texas to Juanita and Dionicio Silva. Juantia was a homemaker. She loved working in her yard, she mowed her lawn well into her 80’s. Her home and yard were always beautifully maintained. Music was a big part of her life. In her youth, Juanita and her sister Aurora “Dora” Navarro, sang as a duet under the name of “Las Hermanitas Silva” where they both played guitars to accompany their songs. They performed in variety shows in and around their hometown. Juanita also loved sewing, she was very talented, always making beautiful dresses for her daughter.
Juanita is survived by her daughter Diana Ellis (Vernon) of Keller, Texas; grandson, Michael Keith Garcia of Albuquerque, New Mexico; sister, Frances and brother-in-law, Jose Del Bosque of Centerville, Georgia; brother-in-law, Rudy Trevino, Sr. of Beeville, Texas; nieces, Gloria Brewster (Jim) of Pasadena, Texas; Yolanda Flores of San Antonio, Texas; Sandra West (Greg) of Aransas Pass, Texas, Yvette Josart (Jon) of Macon, Georgia; nephews, Rudy Trevino, Jr. of Corus Christi, Texas; Joseph Del Bosque (Michelle) of Centerville, Georgia and numerous great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Juanita and Dionicio Silva, husband, Jimmie Ramirez, sisters, Aurora and brother-in-law Joe Navarro; sister, Genevieve Trevino, sister-in-law, Consuelo Barrientes, Esperanza Garcia and brother-in-law Joe Ramirez.
The visitation will be held from 9:00 till 10:00 am at Lakeland Baptist Church in Fort Worth, Texas where a service will follow on December 4, 2023.
A graveside service will take place December 5, 2023, in Beeville at Beeville Memorial Cemetery at 2:00 pm.
