Jude Michael Ortiz

Blessed are those that are brought into this world only to teach others. Jude's bright beaming smile was taken from us on Saturday, April 9, 2016, but we will celebrate his life to the fullest.

Service: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Keller United Methodist Church. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Lucas Funeral Home in Grapevine.

Jude was the inspiration behind the amazing charity, Emily's Smile Boxes, which has reached thousands of children. May we forever carry on his legacy. Fly free, Jude, fly free!

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Candace Emerson.

Survivors: Jude is survived in death by his mother, Jennifer Ortiz; father, Michael Ortiz; sister, Emily Lites; also by his grandparents, Delfino and Susie Ortiz, Kay and Steve Emerson, and Anne Cromer; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him dearly.
