With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Judi Lynn Keath, a beloved daughter, sister, mother, and friend. Born on February 27, 1949, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, Judi peacefully departed this world on November 20, 2024, in Keller, Texas, at the age of 75.
Judi, a proud valedictorian of her high school class, was a trailblazer for her family, inspiring others to follow her footsteps to North Texas State University. Her career was marked by two distinct and impactful phases. She began as an evaluator on a dedicated team identifying children with disabilities, bringing compassion and expertise to her work. Later, she transitioned to the U.S. Treasury Department, where she thrived as a corporate trainer, empowering staff with the skills to better serve citizens. Judi cherished moments of fine dining with family and friends, found joy in crafting, and had an enduring love for reading mysteries that kept her curious mind engaged throughout her life.
She is survived by her loving daughter Stephaney Margetts and husband Robert, brother Richard Keaton Jr., sister Liz Powell and husband Tim, grandson Travis Margetts, and nieces Stacy Snyder, Lindsey Long, Rachael George and Kaitlin Martindale. Judi is preceded in death by her parents Gene and Charlotte Keaton and nephew Matthew Powell.
A celebration of Judi's life will take place at Lucas Funeral Home Keller on December 14, 2024, at 2:00 pm. It will be a time to honor her memory, share stories, and find solace in the legacy she leaves behind.
May Judi's light continue to shine brightly through all those who were fortunate enough to know her. Her impact on the world will never be forgotten.
