Julia B Olsen

February 7, 1925 — March 8, 2020

Julia Olsen passed away on Mar 8, 2020. Julia was born to Daniel and Eleanor Blatt in Kankakee, IL. She attended University of Illinois and Art Institute of Chicago. In 1946 she married the love of her life, Frank Joseph Olsen. She was employed by Sun Times Newspaper and Time Inc as a researcher for Time/Life series, and WWII. She was active in seven museums in various parts of the country. Julia and her husband, Frank, were volunteers for the Fredericksburg/ Spotsylvania national Military Park. She was also an Elder at Spotsylvania Presbyterian Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank J Olsen, her parents and a brother, Daniel Nelson Blatt III.

She is survived by her sister; The Reverend Karen P Blatt of Beaverton, Michigan and her daughters; Debbie (Olsen) Searfoss and husband, George H Searfoss of Indianapolis, Indiana; Mary(Searfoss) Nellis married to Scott Nellis; Regina (Olsen) Raine married to Wilfred L. Raine of Arlington, TX; and Melissa (Olsen) Rasmussen married to Paul Rasmussen of Lawrenceville, GA; grandchildren Sarah, Rebecca, Daniel married to Hillary Welton Searfoss, Lydia and Adalynn Peter .

I thank you for all the wonderful love and friendships shared with me. A special than you for all those hugs fellows. They were a delight! Please join hand to form a never ending circle, and sing Joy To The World with gusto so that I may hear you.
