The day Julian was born I knew he would be exceptional as his birthday fell so close to Christmas. My family was complete once Julian was brought into this world; my vision was, both my boys would always have each other. Julian’s smile is one that illuminated my world, his upper lip would curl up just like his Uncle Arthur’s. Mijo, as a young child was always so cheerful, from the moment he got up to the moment he went to sleep. The memories I hold closest to my heart was his love of swimming as a young boy, we would spend most of the Summer swimming at my parent’s house. I vividly remember, Julian always wanting my dad to swim with us, we would take a break and Julian would sit on his grandpa’s lap to enjoy a popsicle. At an early age (8), I would bring Julian to work with me. At times we would work directly in the heat, we would take breaks, but he persevered. Julian worked until he earned enough money to purchase a PlayStation. As his father, I was overjoyed with his accomplishment and hard work. The smile on his face when he was reimbursed for his labor, was one that I will hold for eternity. As Julian grew into adolescence, his character transitioned, regardless he always remained respectful towards others. I believe with all my heart that Julian was still trying to find his place in this world. My son loved being with his big brother Josh and his cousins, those were his most enjoyable moments in life. Julian is strong willed, clever, comical, kind, well mannered, passionate, relentless, and much more that is and could’ve become. Julian lives on through his father, Roland Muzquiz Jr.; Brother, Joshua Muzquiz; Mother, Jacqueline Torres, many uncles, aunts, cousins, and grandparents, loving family and friends.
