Julie Louise McHugh, age 66, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 29, 1958 to Mary Lou and Frank Hall, Julie brought warmth, kindness, and joy to all who knew her.
On February 20, 1983, she married the love of her life, Michael McHugh, beginning a beautiful romance that spanned over four decades. Together, they built a life filled with love and laughter, raising three children: Theresa, Michelle, and John. Julie was a proud and devoted grandmother to Robby, Mikey, and Emily, cherishing every moment spent with them.
Julie was an active and dedicated member of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, where she found great joy in serving her community. Her passions for bowling (where she was known as the better McHugh) and gardening reflected her vibrant and nurturing spirit, and her love for family, friends, and community was the cornerstone of her life.
When her children were young, Julie was a tireless supporter of their activities. She was deeply involved in the band booster program at Keller High School, cheering the band on at every opportunity. She also coached her children’s youth soccer teams and ensured that everyone made it to their various band recitals, softball, and soccer practices. Julie’s dedication to her family extended to every corner of their lives, and her influence was felt in all their achievements and passions.
She is survived by her husband, Michael; her children, Theresa, Michelle, and John; her grandchildren, Robby, Mikey, and Emily; her mother, Mary Lou; and her siblings, Sam, Mary, and Jim. She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Hall. Julie's presence was a blessing to all, and she leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, selflessness, and dedication.
A funeral mass will be held on Monday, December 16, at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Catholic Charities of Fort Worth or Ballard Vs the Big C.
Julie will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts everyone.
