Julie Lynne Stutheit, 55, of Fort Worth Texas returned to her heavenly home, late on October 23, 2017 after an aggressive 3-month battle against MS. She spent her last months in the hospital and at various rehab facilities with close family and friends at her side praying and enduring this journey with her. Her devotion to her family, friends and her unshaken faith in God’s divine plan gave her the encouragement to fight this battle as long as she did.
Julie was born to the late Robert Vernon and Karen Anderson, in Pacoima, California, on March 6 1962. Julie was blessed with a large and loving family. She married her best friend early in life, Matthew Todd Stutheit on October 24, 1980, in Bedford Texas. Together they raised 2 girls Jenny and Alicia, with love, patience, discipline and humility. She taught them to work hard, to show kindness, compassion, how to love unconditionally, and most importantly she taught them that God and family always came first. From the very beginning, she dedicated her children to God and encouraged them to explore the beauty of God’s word and stay active in the church family.
Julie was the rock and peace keeper of the family. She was kind, generous, comforting, and always had time to listen and do whatever was needed for everyone, no matter how big or small. Julie was a woman of faith and lived life serving others. She is dearly missed by her loved ones, who celebrate the fact that she is at peace with her loving creator.
Julie is survived by her husband, Todd; her daughters & son in-laws, Jenny and Josh Bowen, Alicia and Mike Young; her grandchildren, Ethan, Trevor, Ella, Makenzie & Makayla as well as her brother and In-laws, Kenny & Christie Vernon, Karl Riffe, Mike and Lorinda Stutheit Scott and Tracy Stutheit, Mark Stutheit, Susanne Stutheit, Lola Stutheit and Barbra Ashburn; many close aunts; uncles; cousins; nephews; and nieces. She is preceded in death by her father, Robert Vernon; her sister, Karrie Riffe; her father in love, Ernest Stutheit; and her uncle, Ross Smith.
As one of Julie’s sweet cousins put it best, our sincerest wish for each of us in our family is that we make the most of our journeys and to assist those who may need the help in getting through each day with dignity and grace. Few things are greater than the respect we show one another. And as 1 Corinthians 13 states…… love no matter what......................always love. Please, hug one another. Help one another. And never stop loving one another, no matter what. Keep each of us in your hearts knowing that there’s no better place to be than there, if we can’t be together.
For those who are able to attend, there will be a viewing for Julie at Lucas Funeral home on Thursday, October 26th from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
