June Reagan Caldwell of Euless, Texas, a wife, loving mother, and “MaMaMa” went to be with Jesus on October 17, 2020. June was a lover of Jesus, her family, music and life. She was born February 16, 1931 in Trinidad, Texas to Joe Bennett and Amma Eunice Borders Reagan of Carthage, Texas. She earned a Bachelor of Music with a piano minor from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and also earned a Masters of Education in Psychology from the University of North Texas.
She served God faithfully her entire life as a gifted accompanist for many churches including Riverside Baptist in Fort Worth, Richardson Heights in Richardson, Memorial Baptist in Temple, First Baptist Euless, First Baptist Hurst, First Baptist Bedford, and Shady Grove Baptist Church. June devotedly taught hundreds of children for almost three decades as a fourth-grade schoolteacher at Wilshire Elementary in Euless, Texas.
June is preceded in death by her husband Robert Luther Caldwell, Jr., and survived by her daughters Kristie Diane Winfield, Seliece Caldwell Womble, grandchildren Allie Thompson Sauls and Kirk Charles Thompson, great-grandchild Elliott Lauren Sauls, son-in-laws Kim David Winfield and Lee McCormick Womble, and grandson-in-law Wesley Ryan Sauls.
A Visitation Reception will be held at Lucas Funeral Home at 1321 Precinct Line Road in Hurst, Texas from 6:00-8:00 pm on Wednesday, October 21st and a Homegoing Celebration Service will be held at Shady Grove Baptist Church at 6649 Precinct Line Road in North Richland Hills, Texas at 10:00 am on Thursday, October 22nd with a private burial service at Shannon Rose Hill Memorial Park in Ft. Worth, Texas. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Childhood Leukemia Foundation.
