BURLESON -- Junior Ervin Scogin went to be with Jesus on Wednesday, April 20, 2016. Marilyn "Lynn" Susan Scogin passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2016.
Funeral: 1 p.m. Friday, April 29, at Harvest Assembly of God, 7501 Crowley Rd., Ft. Worth, 76134. Interment: will follow in Laurel Land Cemetery. Pastor Dale Shorter will officiate. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 28, at Lucas & Blessing Funeral Home, 518 S.W. Johnson Ave., Burleson.
Junior was born Dec. 11, 1927, to Walter Ervin Scogin and Nona Ezell McDonald. He was a loving father and husband. He worked as a tile setter in the North Texas Area for 65 years and worked concurrently at General Motors for 17 years as a carpenter. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; four sisters and one grandchild.
Survivors: Daughters, Janice Crouch, Jo Ann Poindexter and husband, Ron, Bobbie Woodruff, Sharon Herrin and husband, Brad, Lisa Boggess and husband Mike; step-son Duane Musiol and wife, Maggie; brother, Leeland Scogin and wife, Pat, 2 sisters, Ima Rhoden and husband, Billy, and Ada Loving.
Marilyn was born in Milwaukee, Wis. on Nov. 24, 1942, to Phyllis Danielewicz and Cyril Wisialowski. She was a loving Christian, dedicated to her husband, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years Junior Scogin; both parents; one sister; three brothers; and one grandchild.
Survivors: Son, Duane Musiol and wife, Maggie; daughters, Lisa Boggess and husband, Mike, Janice Crouch, Jo Ann Poindexter and husband, Ron, Bobbie Woodruff, Sharon Herrin and husband, Brad; and sister, Beverly Everhart and husband, Fred.
Junior and Marilyn are both survived by 15 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
