It is with heavy hearts that we announce the untimely passing of our beloved father, son, brother, uncle, and friend, Justin Scott Hitt, who tragically lost his life in a car accident on March 24, 2024, at the age of 40.

Born on May 8, 1983, in Marshall, TX, Justin Scott Hitt or “Duck” was a cherished father, beloved brother, and a loyal friend. He touched the lives of all who knew him, and he will be deeply missed. His sudden departure has left a void that can never be filled. Justin Scott Hitt was a member of Calvary Temple Church of Irving, TX. He enjoyed playing pool, bowling, skateboarding, going trail riding, but most importantly he loved nothing more than spending time with his daughter, his family, and his friends.

Justin Scott Hitt is survived by his daughter, Kylie Hitt; his brother and sister-in-law, Shane and Dori Hitt; his nieces, Bailey Hitt, Lola Hitt, and Miranda Debrick; his mother and stepfather, Anda and Jay Burnett; as well as countless other family and friends. Justin Scott Hitt is preceded in death by his dad, Richard Hitt; his sister, Misty Debrick; his grandparents, Ned Elliot and Ann Ford; his grandparents, Mary and Dewey Hitt; and his beloved dog, Kenna Ray Hitt.

A funeral to celebrate the life of Justin Scott Hitt will be held on April 5, 2024, at 3pm at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst, TX. Following the funeral, we will gather at Veterans Park in Arlington, TX at 4:30 to celebrate Justin’s life. Friends and family are invited to attend and pay their respects.
