Karen Ford Erby

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we mourn the loss of our beloved mother, Karen Ford Erby. Karen passed from this life into heaven on Wednesday, February 7, 2018, after a short battle with cancer. She was born in Brady, Texas on December 13, 1939, to Jack and Norma Lee Ford, and grew up in Richland Springs, Texas.
Karen held a variety of accounting jobs until she found her life’s work in the Fort Worth Police Department working in Jail Operations and as an Intoxilizer Operator.
Karen was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Joe Erby; both her parents; and her two beloved sisters, Jackline Ford and Judy Beth Walker.
Left to grieve her passing are two daughters, Kathryn Jones Harper and husband Don of Keller, and Debra Jones of Bedford; grandson Ryan Harper and fiancée Catelin Hardin of Keller; former husband Harold Dean Kennedy of Ajijic, Jalisco, Mexico; brother-in-law Harold Walker and wife Rachael of Cedar Park; two nieces, Janine Barnett and husband David of Morristown, TN, and Jennifer Entrekin of Leander; nephew RC Walker and wife Tricia of Georgetown; 7 great nieces and nephews; and many dear and greatly loved friends.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at 11:00 am at Hurst Christian Church.
