Karen McIntosh
It is with great sadness that we announce the gentle passing of Karen "Annie" McIntosh of Grapevine, TX, on Sunday, June 18, 2023. Her surviving husband, Thomas, daughters, Hallie McIntosh of Aurora, CO, and Louisa Hilton of Grapevine, TX, granddaughters, Moira, Molly, and Emily, and rescue dog Isabella, will greatly miss their loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Karen was born on June 25, 1944, in Odessa, TX. She earned a B.S. in Biology from Southwestern University, in Georgetown, in Spring 1966, and an M.S. in Biology from Purdue University in Summer 1967. While at Purdue, Karen met and fell in love with her soulmate, Tom. They were married soon after graduation and spent the next 55 wonderful years together. They were blessed with two beautiful daughters, three granddaughters, and countless pets. Karen was a beautiful lady who enjoyed cooking, entertaining, teaching Sunday school, crafting, Girl Scout leading, piano playing, and managing Tom's medical practice. Karen touched the lives of countless children and adults alike when she shared her passions for all of these things.
A celebration of Karen's life will occur at a future date. For those of you who would like to
remember her further, please send donations to the DFW Pup Patrol Rescue or to a favorite charity of your choice, in lieu of flowers. God bless all of you
