Karin Corbett Ozuna (49) of Fort Worth, Texas passed away in the early morning hours of Thursday March 3rd, 2016 at the UT Southwestern Clements Hospital, in Dallas, Texas, after battling a 2 and half year battle against Leukemia.
Karin Ozuna was born to Frank and Maria Corbett on June 24th 1966 at the American Hospital in Paris, France. Karin was raised in Austin, TX. She received a BA in Accounting and BA in Management Information Systems from the University of Texas at Austin in 1992. In 1998 she moved to Fort Worth, Texas to work for the BNSF Railroad, where she met her husband. She married Pablo Ozuna Jr on October, 4th 2003 and they resided in Fort Worth, Texas.
Karin was a software developer up until her first daughter was born and then become a stay a home mom (a job that she took great joy and pride in).
Karin was active in the MOPS Program when her children were very young. And once her children started elementary school she was active in both the PTA and Cheetah Math Program (and one year she even took on the large task of designing that year’s yearbook). And whatever current fascination her kids were on, she was always able to incorporate it into an elaborate birthday cake on their birthday.
Karin is survived by her daughter Christiana Maria; son Christopher Corbett; her loving husband Pablo; brother and sister-in-law Frank Jr and Sue Corbett; brother Thomas Corbett; mother Maria Corbett and several nephews and nieces.
Karin was preceded in passing by her father Frank Corbett Sr.; brother Howard Corbett; and sister Kathleen Hernandez.
