Karina Angelina Falk was born in Guatemala on August 18, 2001. After a lengthy adoption process, Cathy and her niece, Nicole, brought her home to Texas where she was joyfully accepted into a loving family in May of 2002. She was baptized into the Catholic Church and received Baptism, First Communion and Confirmation at St. Ann’s in Coppell, Texas. Karina was a precious little girl who, although shy, was always polite and kind to everyone she met. Her kindness was especially evident in her love of animals; recently rescuing two stray cats despite already having two dogs at home. For a while she worked as a dog groomer and had a desire to one day become a dog trainer.
Karina loved to travel and enjoyed trips to New York, Disney World, Disneyland and Washington, D.C., as well as vacations in Broken Bow with her extended family. She loved going to the beach and her trips to Galveston and Ft. Morgan, Alabama was among her favorites.
She was a natural artist, able to draw portraits of her friends and sketches of animals from memory. She had an especially creative passion for make-up, nail art, and clothing, frequently sharing her talents with others. In recent years she had grown to become a beautiful young woman who always shared a smile and brightened the day of everyone she met.
Karina passed away on February 23, 2023. She is survived by her mother Cathy Falk, grandmother Terri Lorentz, Uncles David Lorentz (Darlene) and Tom Lorentz (Sonia), Aunt Gerri Musso (Nick), and cousins Danielle Riddle (Zack), Nathalie Albert (Aaron), Nicole Taylor (John), Anthony Musso, Loren Mims (Josh), Gianna Taylor, Quentin Taylor, Peyton Riddle, Lane Riddle as well as large, extended Lorentz and Brown
families.
Karina's beautiful smile and her gentle, loving nature will be missed by all of us who knew and loved her.
