Katherine "Kathy" Brewer

Katherine “Kathy” Petty Brewer, 81, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2022.
Kathy was born January 30, 1941 in Lake Charles, Louisiana the daughter of Gladys Christiana Mitchell Petty and Cleo Haven Petty. The family was transferred just 2 weeks before her birth and just 2 weeks after she was born the family moved back to Houston. She always regretted not being born a Texan but proudly acclaimed Texas blood.
She was a graduate of Kingsville High School. Kathy lived in multiple cities because her father was in heavy construction. As fate would have it, while living in Cincinnati she met another misplaced Texan, Royce N. Brewer and they shared a loving wonderful partnership of 52+ years. Kathy was the soul of business ventures they shared which last was Candlemania at Vista Ridge Mall in Lewisville. She loved helping people and enjoyed decorative candles and accessories. Kathy liked to say her middle name was “GO”. She loved traveling and fortunate to travel to most of the states of this beautiful country until the dreaded health prevented her enjoyment these last few years.
She will be missed.
