Katrinka "Katy" Ann Bass

Katrinka "Katy" Ann Bass, 72, of Crowley passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2019.
Graveside Service: 12 p.m. Friday at Bluebonnet Memorial Park in Colleyville. Visitation: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Lucas and Blessing Funeral Home.
Katy graduated from Arlington Heights High School, Tarleton State College and Texas Christian University earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. She was a multi-talented teacher at Brewer Middle School and taught special needs, regular and honor English as well as art class. Her passion was teaching earning teacher of the month. She suffered a stroke after 17 years of teaching and spent many years trying to recover during which time she was surrounded by family and friends.
She was a very loving wife, mother and friend and will be great missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents Bill and Wanda Kaiser of Granbury.
Survivors: Husband of 35 years, John H. Bass; daughter, Wendi Samsill; son, Byron Cowen and wife, Stephanie; step-daughter, Stacy; grandchildren, Ramey, Cameron, Katelynn; step-grandchildren, Hunter, Kami, Morgan; great-grandchildren, Raelynn, Bryson and Kendall.
