We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our mother, Kaye Suzette Jones Ong. Kaye passed away peacefully at the age of eighty-three on May 8, 2023, with her family surrounding and comforting her.
Kaye was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, who took great pride in her family. Kaye was born on August 16, 1939, in Olathe, Colorado. She spent her formative years in Ponca City, Colorado. After graduating high school, Kaye attended nursing school, became a registered nurse, and worked in hospitals and physician offices. She was a kind and loyal caregiver during her career in healthcare services.
During her life she lived in many places including Dallas, Texas, Saint Louis, Missouri, Atlanta, Georgia, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Tampa, Florida and finally settling in Ft. Worth, Texas.
Kaye was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Lamoine Jones, and her brother, Richard Jones.
She is survived by a loving family including her sister and her husband, Kathryn and Bob Prescott (Ponca City, Oklahoma), her daughter and her husband, Kelly and Lamar Anderson (Ft. Worth, Texas), her son and his wife, Brian and Katherine Ong (New Canaan, Connecticut), and her son and his wife, Brett and Stacy Ong (Ft. Worth, Texas). She was very proud of her grandchildren (8) and her great grandchildren (3), all of whom will miss her very much.
The funeral will be a private ceremony with only close family members present.
