Kelly May Moss

June 10, 1958 — January 15, 2021

Kelly May Moss, age 62, of Haslet, Texas passed into the arms of Jesus on Friday, January 15, 2021 with both of her daughters by her side. She was one of a kind and will always be remembered for being a loving wife, devoted Mom, dedicated Duck Duck (Grandma), amazing Aunt, faithful friend and steadfast servant that positively impacted so many lives and God’s kingdom. She shared unconditional love, generosity and kindness to all those in her path and her greatest joy was selflessly serving, hosting, sharing gifts and encouraging others.
Kelly was born on June 10, 1958 to Carol and Orville Comer in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The family relocated to Roanoke, Texas and she attended Northwest High School. There she met and later married the love of her life, Danny Moss on April 30, 1977 and together they built a beautiful life on a firm foundation of love and faith. Over the course of 43 years of marriage, they raised a blessed family, shared countless adventures and proudly partnered together to make dream homes a reality for so many. Kelly loved the hobbies she shared with Danny and whether they were at the car show showcasing their classic Corvettes, hunting and fishing or traveling aboard a cruise ship their favorite place to be was together! In recent years, Kelly’s refuge was their weekend getaway, Moss Ranch established in 2016 in Bowie, Texas. She was always partial to nostalgia and saw the value of preserving the past and so there was no question that she and Danny would restore the 1860’s era log cabin at the ranch! Kelly loved sitting in her rocking chair on the front porch of the cabin watching the deer, cattle and her beloved dogs Khloe and Hazel chase squirrels.
Kelly’s daughters, Brandi and Brittany and her four grandchildren, Austin, Aubrey, Cohen and McCoy were her pride and joy! She was a devoted mother that supported and encouraged every endeavor her girls undertook and from showing cattle to cheerleading, Kelly was always their biggest fan! She instilled in them the importance of faith, family and education and proudly celebrated every milestone and accolade accomplished by her daughters and grandkids because she regarded them as the greatest accomplishment of her life! Kelly loved kids and was always in her element when she was surrounded by them especially her precious grandbabies and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved to spoil! She also loved the Lord and her influence further extended to countless kids she ministered to through the years at FBC Haslet in VBS, Sunbeams and the youth group. She was truly a blessing to so many and radiated God’s perfect love and grace!
Kelly had a gift for making people smile, her laugh was infectious and fun always followed her! She was a gracious host and looked for every opportunity to throw a party or foster special occasions. Kelly had the biggest heart and her incredible affection for her family and friends could not be contained. This world is undoubtedly a better and brighter place because of her and she will be missed until we meet again! We will always cherish the memories, heed the life lessons she imparted, honor her legacy of love and carry on the good work her example inspires!
Kelly is preceded in death by her parents, Carol and Orville Comer and sister, Terry Reynolds. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Danny Moss, daughter, Brandi Allison and her husband Dustin of Haslet, Texas, daughter, Brittany Roberts and her husband, Steven of Haslet, Texas and her beloved grandchildren, Austin Allison, Aubrey Allison, Cohen Robbins and McCoy Roberts.
