Kenneth “Kenny” Wayne Baggett, 67, passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2023. He was born on December 26, 1955 in Fort Worth, TX, second oldest of 6 children to parents Hermon Melvin Baggett Sr and Carolyn Gaither. Kenny grew up in Bedford, TX and graduated from L.D. Bell High School. He married his high school sweetheart and life-long best friend, Sherrie Luttrell on August 24, 1974.
His passion for aviation led him to earn his private pilots license in 1990 and into his 37 year career, which he loved, in the flight simulation industry. He worked on both helicopter and commercial aircraft simulators with companies such as Bell Helicopter, Flight Safety, Pan Am, and Boeing. He recently retired after spending the last 10 years of his career with Avenger Flight Group.
When Kenny wasn’t working he enjoyed his 30 year hobby of RV camping which began as a way for his wife and he to spend time together raising their two children. He was a nature and animal enthusiast and loved raising many types of pets including his favorite, birds.
Kenny will always be remembered by family and friends by his sincere smile, animated sense of humor, and kindness to everyone he met. He will be deeply missed.
Kenny is survived by wife of 48 years, Sherrie Baggett; son, Aaron Baggett; daughter, Chelsea Arias and husband, Jorge; 3 grandchildren; sister, Sharon Robertson; brothers, Phillip Baggett and Tony Baggett; step-father, Hal Airhart.
