Kenneth Albert Balsinger

March 2, 1931 — November 15, 2021

Kenneth Albert Balsinger born March 2, 1931 died in San Antonio Texas November 15th, 2021 surrounded by his family. Ken was born in Sasakwa Oklahoma to V.E. and Maude Balsinger. He grew up in Madill where he met the love of his life his wife Mary Emma Baker. At the conclusion of Ken’s service in the Air Force during the Korean War, he and Mary began their life in Tulsa with their two sons, Glen and Steve. After raising their family in Clinton Missouri, Lubbock Texas, and Euless Texas Ken and Mary retired to Hemet California. They enjoyed winters in California playing golf and surrounded by friends, and the summers in the cool mountains of Colorado camping, fishing, driving their Jeep on the mountain passes, but mostly enjoying time with their friends. After the death of Mary in May of 2013 Ken decided to move to San Antonio to be near his son Steve and that is where he found himself at Adante Senior Living. Adante is where Ken found a new set of friends who would soon become like family. Ken never met a stranger and quickly became friends with not only the other residents but with the staff as well. Being the entertainer that he was Ken never missed an opportunity to put on a show at Adante. Whether it was dressing up in his German lady Halloween costume, in his tuxedo for parties, or getting everyone thinking he won 1st place in the Christmas door decoration contest Ken was always entertaining his friends! Ken took full advantage of all the activities at Adante playing in a pool league, poker, parties, but his favorite was playing bridge. He truly enjoyed the 6-1/2 years he spent with his extended family here in San Antonio as much as they enjoyed him. He will be dearly missed and never forgotten.
