Kenneth "Ken" Swanner, passed away Saturday, Feb 11, 2023, at the age of 69.

Kenneth "Ken" Swanner was born on December 23, 1953, in Dallas, TX to Father, J.P. Swanner and Mother, Eunice Pauline Tucker Swanner. Ken graduated from Mesquite High School in 1973 where he was a proud member of the Skeeter Guard. Ken met and later married Karen Dalton. Ken and Karen had two daughters, Carolyn Rene and Caitlyn Rae.

Ken's faith was an important part of his life. He had been an active member of the Grapevine Church of Christ for 40 years. He served as a deacon and ran the sound system for worship for over 30 years. He was known for sharing candy with the kids in church.

Ken loved kids! He had a special place in his heart for children facing serious medical issues. Ken volunteered as a Wish Granter for the Make a Wish foundation for many years after his daughter Caitlyn was granted a wish.

Ken was a big fan of Golden Oreo's and Diet Dr. Pepper. He insisted on having Golden Oreo's and Diet Dr. Pepper every day. He loved to sneak cookies to his granddaughters.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents, J.P. Swanner and Eunice Tucker Swanner; brother, Jerry Swanner; niece, Debra Chapin, and brother-in-law, Robert Graham.

Survivors: Wife, Karen Swanner; daughters, Carolyn Vorwerk and her husband Kyle Vorwerk, and Caitlyn Swanner; granddaughters, Keira and Claire Vorwerk, and numerous loving family and friends.
