automotive fleet and commercial sales for years to come. Ken and Tom Durant at
Classic Chevrolet joined forces in 2001 where the partnership proved even more
successful with Classic Chevrolet repeatedly ranking as the number one volume dealer
in the country. Ken became the recipient of Chevrolet’s prestigious Mark of Excellence
Award over 30 consecutive years, earning recognition as the number one salesperson
in the nation.
Ken’s contributions extended well beyond business, as he was deeply committed to
philanthropy, dedicating his time and resources to numerous charitable organizations,
including the Grace Foundation, 6 Stones, Irving Healthcare System where he served
as President and Board Member, serving on the board of the Carroll Education
Foundation and supported Texas A&M’s Veterinary Medical School.
Ken had a passion for all things associated with four wheels, from Indy Racing to
NASCAR. He also helped organize events like the Great Race Across America and over 25 years ago was instrumental in starting the Chevrolet South Central Truck Club serving as Treasurer.
