Kenneth R Scott, 67, passed away on December 7th, 2016, in Grapevine, TX.
Visitation will be Sunday December 11th from 2:00-4:00 with a Rosary service at 3:00 at Lucas Funeral Home, 700 W. Wall Street, Grapevine, TX 76051.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00, Monday December 12th, 2016 at Lucas Funeral Home, 700 W. Wall Street, Grapevine, TX 76051. Burial will follow at Grapevine Cemetery.
Kenny, as friends and family knew him, was born in Dallas, TX to Rose and Randolph Scott on February 9th, 1949. He graduated from Bishop Lynch High School in 1967. After school he was drafted by the US Army, 101st Airborne division, and served in Vietnam where he was trained as a medic. Serving his country and being a member of the 101st Airborne remained the accomplishment he was most proud of throughout his life. His medic training led him to become an X-ray technician after his service ended but eventually he found his professional home as a plumber.
Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents, Rose and Randolph Scott.
Kenneth is survived by his wife Dona Scott, his step-daughter Sonya Joye Grube and her husband Eddie Grube, his sister Anne Cowan and her husband Steve Cowan, his grandchildren Kayley Reay and Zachary Grube, and his nieces and nephews Scott and Elisabeth Cowan, and Lennon and Laura Simpson.
Pallbearers will be Steve Cowan, Scott Cowan, Eddie Grube and Bob Simpson.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested a donation be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
