Kerry Ann Courtney Lustig

February 26, 1975 — March 18, 2024

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Kerry Ann (Courtney) Lustig. She was born on February 26, 1975, in Cass City, Michigan, and passed away on March 18, 2024, in Dallas, Texas at the age of 49.

Kerry was a woman of great faith and adorned her life with values of love, compassion, and devotion, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and kindness.

A graduate of Coppell High School in 1993, Kerry furthered her education at Texas Christian University, earning her Bachelor's Degree in 1997. She initially pursued a career in teaching, specializing in first grade and special education. Upon the arrival of their first child, Kerry pursued her true vocation of motherhood. Later, she chose to homeschool her own children, embodying her passion for faith, education and her family.

Kerry's unwavering love and devotion to Jesus Christ and her faith community was evident in every aspect of her life. She found solace and strength in her beliefs, shaping her actions and interactions with love and grace.

Born with Cystic Fibrosis, Kerry lived a life with struggles, yet it was not apparent to even those close to her due to her charitable and outward focus on others. In 2016, Kerry underwent a bilateral lung transplant, affording her the opportunity to continue to live a prayerful life of sincere compassion for others before self.

She is survived by her loving husband of 27 years, Jeremy Lustig; children, Madison Courtney Lustig, Savannah Gayle Lustig, Nicholas Jeremy Lustig and Isaac James Lustig; mother, Diane Marie Courtney; sister, Kelley Lynn Cramer and loving brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and a community of family and friends who cherished her deeply.

Preceded in death by her father, James Edward Courtney and her beloved daughter, Gracie Ann Lustig.

Funeral services to honor Kerry's life will be held at the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church on April 1, 2024. A visitation will take place at 10:30 am, followed by a Rosary at 11:30 am, and a Mass at 12:00 pm. Following, there will be a reception for all.
