Kim was born July 14, 1961, to Sam and Mary Etta Cowley of Burleson, Texas. Kim was a graduate of Burleson High School in 1979. She was a member of the Burleson Elk High School Marching Band, where she played the French Horn. Upon Kim’s graduation, she worked for an insurance company gaining early experience for what she would eventually do for a career and job in her future work endeavor. Still at a very young age, Kim would be blessed and able to make a decision for the work and career that would continue to impact her ministry and witness for the rest of her life over the next 40 years. Kim worked for Kenneth Copeland Ministries, KCM, and held many job titles, but the most recent was Royalties and Copyright Administrator. She learned and grew in the Lord and the ministry. Kim attended Gateway Church of Forth Worth and was actively ministering to people every day. Kim led praise and worship teams and home groups across different churches, ministering and praising the Lord God whom she dearly loved. Kim played piano from an early age, even then singing and praising her Lord and Savior. She took the time for young and old alike always seeing the best in everyone and putting other peoples needs before her own. During the pandemic, Kim saw the importance of ministry and took upon herself to create “driveway church” where the neighborhood came together in their driveways and worshipped the Lord. Kim was and will always be a light unto the Lord.
Kim was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Mary Etta Cowley of Burleson, Texas.
She is survived by her brother, Craig Cowley whom she dearly loved and cherished, as she did all of her family and those she held close to her.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Jesse and Maria Cates Ministries a.k.a Casa De Milagros – Muxupip in Mexico. This is a church in the Yucatan area that Kim loved dearly and has made mission trips to since 2013.
