Kodi Shyann Wynne, 5, of Joshua, earned her angel wings September 18, 2020 with Daddy and Mamaw by her side and Mommy and family close by.
Kodi Shyann was born July 26, 2015 in Odessa to Cody Wynne and Shyla Glenn. That’s the day her battle began. She was born with a complete AV Canal defect and had open heart surgery December 8, 2015, at four and half months old. She had done amazing until March 19, 2020. When she went for her second open heart surgery, the battle got hard, then was given a VAD July 31. She was a warrior through it all.
Kodi Shyann was full of love and giving. She started talking about being a nurse and loved telling her nurses how to do their job. She was sassy and knew what she wanted. Kodi Shyann loved to cuddle and take selfies and selfie videos. When she was born, we called her our angel. Just never knew she’d get her wings first.
She was preceded in death by her uncles, Rocky Joe Maxey, James Glenn, and Harvey Ray McKinney; great-papaw, Lawrence Eugene Wynne, Sr.; and aunt, Janet.
Kodi Shyann is survived by her parents, Cody Wynne and Shyla Glenn; brothers, Arian Rocky Malachi Wynne, Waylon Wayne Wynne, and Patrick Wynne; sisters, Autum Rebelina Mandi Wynne, Harlea Haven Wynne, and Sydney Brown; grandparents, John and Rebecca Glenn, Claudette and Lawrence Wynne, Jr., and Jerry and Deborah Scarbrough; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and family.
