Kris Hutchison

December 20, 1989 — October 27, 2021

Kristopher was born on December 20th, 1989 at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas, to parents Joann and Shannon. He graduated from Haltom High School, and shortly after joined the United States Marine Corps.

Kristopher served his country for four years earning the Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Overseas Service Ribbon, and Expert Rifle and Sharpshooter Pistol Qualification Badges. He was stationed in many places, including Okinawa, Japan. After an honorable discharge, Kris went to work for the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office, which lead him into a career in law enforcement. He started at Kennedale Police Department and later joined the Haltom City Police Department in 2016. Kristopher worked as a School Resource Officer for three years at Haltom Middle School and North Oaks Middle School, where he loved working with his kids. Kristopher was well respected by both students and staff. He received a lifesaving award for his response in a medical emergency in 2018.

Kris is preceded in death by his maternal great grandparents Juanita and Dick Jordan; Josefina Arce and Vincenta Jalomo; and paternal grandmother Jeannie Hutchison.

Kris is survived by his loving wife Amber Hutchison; children Aurora and Barrett Hutchison; mother Joann Kelly and stepfather Ryan Kelly; father Shannon Hutchison and stepmother Amanda Herrera; siblings Kristi Cotner and husband Chris Cotner; Ashley Hutchison; Andrew Hutchison; grandparents Patty and Hector Jalomo; Sam Hutchison; nephews Connor Cotner, Kade Cotner, and Joshua Hutchison, and a niece on the way. As well as countless aunts, uncles, cousins, and brothers and sisters in blue.

There will be a candleight vigil at 6:30 P.M., Monday, November 1, 2021 at Haltom Park located at 3113 Haltom Road, Haltom City, Texas 76117.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at Northwood Church. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, November 3, 2021 also at Northwood Church in Keller.
Committal Service with Marine Honors will be held at 2:30 P.M., Monday, November 15, 2021 at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.
