LACY ADRIAN BELLAH
October 19, 1928 - August 4, 2018
Lacy Adrian Bellah, age 89, of Springtown, TX passed away August 4, 2018, in Weatherford, TX surrounded by his family.
He was born in Fort Worth, TX on October 19, 1928 to Lacy and Lucy Gibson Bellah. Adrian loved to dance in his earlier years and was an avid domino player. He enjoyed watching old westerns on TV, and reading western books. He was soft-spoken, and enjoyed spending time with his family especially during birthday celebrations and holidays. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
He is a veteran of the United States Navy, and proudly served during the Korean War. He met the love of his life, Beverly Brothers, and married on July 15, 1950. They celebrated 60 years of marriage prior to her passing in 2010. Adrian spent his career employed as a Planner with General Dynamics, retiring after 40 years of service. He was an active Master Mason of the Grand Lodge of Texas for over 65 years. His most recent association, prior to moving to Springtown in 2017, was with The Richland Hills Masonic Lodge, where he throughly enjoyed his morning coffee and conversation.
Adrian was preceded in death by his parents, Lacy and Lucy Gibson Bellah; and beloved wife Beverly Ann Brothers Bellah.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter and son-in-law, Susie and Thomas Powell; son and daughter-in-law, Kirk and Nina Bellah, grandchildren: Lacey and husband Anthony Marquez; Lance Powell and husband Ryan Sheehan; and, Kayla Bellah and fiance James Buzbee; and great-grandson Morgan Marquez, along with many loving and wonderful family members and friends.
Celebration of Adrian's life will be held on Friday, August 10, 2018 at Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Rd., Hurst, TX 76053. Visitation will be at 10:00am; service at 11:00am and burial to be held at 1:30pm at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to any charitable organization of your choice.
