Laird Richard Boltz

EULESS -- Laird Richard Boltz, 86, passed away Sunday, September 18, 2016.
Celebration of life: 11 a.m. Saturday at Peace Lutheran Church in Hurst. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst. Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville.
Laird was born in Lehigh Pennsylvania, but got to Texas as soon as he could. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He worked for Safeway, M.E. Moses five and dime stores and retired from the Dallas Market Center.
Laird was a life long Lutheran and was a charter member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Bedford. He served the church in many ways but his true love was music. He was a member of the church choir for over 30 years. He love to create treasure out of junk. His favorite crafting creation was making crosses out of old fence pickets.
Survivors: His wife Dolores Boltz; sons, Brian Boltz and Lance Boltz; grandson, Travis Culp; and extended family and church family.
