Lanita June Payne

Lanita June Dunlap Payne,79, of Haltom City, Texas went home to her husband, in heaven, on December 11th, 2020.

Nita was a devoted wife, to her beloved husband Homer, of 60 years. He preceded her in death in September of 2019. Her four babies…daughters, Thressa lovingly known as Bird, and Melissa best known as Baby Lisa. Sons, David aka. Dee, and Darryl, also known as Oscar. Her brother, Charles Earl Dunlap/ Little Chuck. She also had two bonus boys, Ricky & Chris, also known as Bub. As you can tell this family loves nicknames. She leaves behind many loving grandchildren. Sisters, Beau, Tuffy, Rosie, Sparky, Ashley, Danielle, Stephanie, Mitchell and their spouses. She also leaves behind 16 great-grandchildren.

Nita June was born November 23, 1941 in Watonga, Oklahoma. She moved with her family to Texas when she was just 10 years old.
She loved to craft, read a good Agatha Christy mystery, or cheesy romance novel, watch her ID and HGTV channel. Nita didn’t have much, but she was generous and giving. What she did possess, money can’t buy, an abundance of love.

Nita’s favorite verse from the Bible was Psalm 23. She also found comfort in John 14:1-4

She will be remembered as a loving wife, Mom and Nana. She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer, parents Charles Earl & Ida June Dunlap.
