LaNora Mae Smith, passed away on June 22, 2020, in Grapevine, Texas. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to all who knew and loved her. She was born on February 22, 1940, in Paducah, Texas, to Clyde and Lorene Bolton. She met the love of her life, Paul Smith, at age 14. They were married on August 3, 1958, and had a marriage admired by all. LaNora loved endlessly and was a role model to all who knew her. She was a Christian and was a wonderful example to everyone she met. She was a fantastic cook and seamstress, as evidenced by the Halloween costumes she made, which are family heirlooms today. She loved Elvis and collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia. She had a servant’s heart and for over 20 years she delivered dessert every Friday to the Ronald McDonald House. LaNora is survived by her husband of 61 years, son Kenneth Smith and wife Jan, daughter LaNelia Ramette and husband John, son Glendon Smith and wife Holly, sister, Sharon Young, grandchildren Ryne and Anne Smith, Connor Smith and Macy Miles, Christina Ramette, Blaine Smith, Courtney and Daniel Foley, Jake Bashuk, Noa Bashuk, and Aaron Bashuk.
She was preceded in death by her mom and dad, daughter-in-law Theresa Lee Smith, grandson, Michael Ramette and brother-in-law, Joe Young.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in LaNora’s memory to the American Lung Association.
