Laura Dryden passed on September 16, 2019, after a long and brave battle against Parkinson’s Disease and related Dementia. She will be remembered as a loving Mother and true blue friend to all who knew her. We will remember her seemingly limitless desire to sacrifice for others, her generosity of spirit and strong will in the face of true difficulty. Laura spent most of her life in El Paso, Austin and Dallas/Fort Worth, where she held multiple positions in the general construction industry. Laura had a gift for crafting, spending countless hours creating knit blankets, personal keepsakes, cross stitch pieces and custom beaded/crystal jewelry.
Laura is survived by: daughter Kara Williams and husband Chris Williams, along with AFS host grandchildren, Fabio Massimo Farina (Italy), Rikuto Yoshida (Japan), Johanna Wetsch (Germany); daughter Kelly Brannen and granddaughters Kenzie Brannen and Kacie Brannen. She loved nothing more than doting all of her kids. She is preceded in death by her cherished dogs, Duchess and Pepper.
The family would like to thank the owners, leaders and staff of Grand Brook Memory Care of Grapevine, TX and Holy Savior Hospice of Bedford, TX for their love, support and care. We are forever grateful for the comfort and dignity provided to Mom.
The family will happily accept flowers and other remembrances, including memorials in lieu of flowers to the Parkinson Association of the Rockies (
