Laura Elizabeth Williams

November 3, 1953 — January 27, 2021

Heaven welcomed Laurie Williams on January 27, 2021, after she lost her battle to complications of bile duct cancer.
She married Doug, the love of her life on February 19, 1983 at Saint Peter Prince of the Apostles Catholic church in San Antonio, Texas. Those 38 years were sparked with two wonderful children, Kenny and Stephanie, who gave her endless joy. She is survived by one very precious grandson, Everett, with another boy due in late February.
Although plagued with numerous health problems for much of her life, nobody fought harder than she did in the final months of her illness.
She was a super-loving daughter, mother, wife, sister, friend, and an angel to her Swiss mother-in-law.
She excelled in all of her various career endeavors – graphic artist, photographer, fine wine sales, and more. Her number one hobby was gardening. She was an active member of the Southlake Perennial Garden Society as well as the Grapevine Garden Club.
Laurie truly loved the English language – always humorously correcting those of us who make grammatical mistakes!
She served in various capacities at her parish, Saint Francis of Assisi in Grapevine, and in the past at Saint Thomas Aquinas in Dallas. She was a Eucharistic minister, a leader in the stewardship committee, and a festival organizer.
We can all find comfort knowing that her deep Catholic faith was wrapped tightly around her when she was called home.

The funeral will be Monday, February 8th, at Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 861 Wildwood Ln, Grapevine TX 76051.
