Laurel Mary Henson,66, of Keller died on the evening of 16th November 2017 peacefully at her home.
Laurel, daughter of Boyd and Helen Henson, grew up in White Plains NY. She graduated from Randolph-Macon Woman’s College, Lynchburg, VA and afterwards worked as program practices director at CBS television in New York City until moving to London England in 1980 where she married Malcolm Mason and where their first daughter was born. In 1982 they relocated to White Plains where they lived with their three children until 1997 before moving to CT. In 2011 she relocated to Texas where she worked, most recently, as an assistant teacher in the Keller Independent School District which she enjoyed immensely. During the past few years and with her typical grace, sense of humor and resolve, she has fought illness before passing on with her two daughters present at her bedside.
She is survived by her daughter, Emily Mason; son, Cameron Mason; and daughter, Caroline Gilbert and her husband, Lewis Gilbert; and recently born grandson Reid Gilbert, and her ex-husband Malcolm Mason.
