Laurie Polaski, 55, passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2016 following a brave and courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma.
Laurie was born on November 2, 1960, to Donald Stewart and Marilyn Hess Fraser. She graduated from Franklin High School in 1979 and Villanova University in 1983 with a B.A. in Accounting. She worked for a number of years as an Auditor for MidLantic. Once her twins, Kati and Michael were born, she left the corporate world to care for her family. When Kati and Michael were 11, the family relocated from New Jersey to Keller, TX. A few years later Laurie returned to the workforce as a Financial Analyst for American Airlines.
Laurie was an avid supporter of her children's sports activities; Kati's skating and track and Michael's hockey and baseball.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Marilyn Hess and her maternal grandparents, Herbert and Florence Hess and paternal grandparents Donald and Martha Fraser.
She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her children, Kathryn Polaski of Philadelphia, PA and her son, Michael Polaski of Dallas, TX, her father, Donald Fraser Jr. of Bridgewater, NJ, her siblings, Donald Fraser III of New York, NY, her sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Randy Nixon of Ashburn, VA and her sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Dante Martin of Sneads Ferry, NC and 6 adoring nephews and nieces, Andrew, Harrison, Ryan, Jacob, Meghan and Marilyn..
Visitation for friends and relatives with a Wake/Rosary will be at Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Rd., Hurst, on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. A Celebration of Life will be held at Good Shephard Catholic Church,1000 Tinker Rd, Colleyville on Thursday at 10:00 am. For Friends and relatives in New Jersey, a service will take place on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Cusick Funeral Home, 80 Mountain Ave, Somerville, NJ 08876 with a Christian burial to follow service.
