Lavon Barnes Foster

Lavon Barnes Foster, 73, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday, August 20, 2017.
Lavon was born Doris Lavon Barnes in Van Alstyne, Texas, on April 24, 1944, to the late Lonnie Reece and Frances Maudine Shelby Barnes. Lavon graduated Salutatorian of her class in 1962. On August 29, 1963, she married the love of her life, Walter H. Foster and moved to Chicago. After returning to Texas a year later, they settled in Euless to raise their family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and son-in-law Adam Thompson.
Survivors include: Husband of 54 years, Walter; daughters Michelle Thompson and Donna Schroeder and husband Cliff; grandsons Phillip And Caleb Thompson; granddaughter Shelby Schroeder; brothers Jerry Barnes and wife Brenda, Gene Barnes and wife Gloria, Bill Barnes and wife Debra; sister Delores Fairchild and husband Rick; sister-in-law, Barbara Stambaugh and husband Bill; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
