Lawrence R. “Rob” Harville ran into the arms of his Heavenly Father on November 2, 2023.
Rob was born November 12, 1970, in Pittsburg Texas to Lawrence and Brenda Harville.
In 1971, Rob was the Camp County March of Dimes Poster Child. In 1974, he was the Mid-Cities March of Dimes Poster Child. In 1976, he was awarded the March of Dimes State Poster Child. He holds National Track Records with the Southwest Wheelchair Athletic Association and participated at the University of Texas at Arlington in Wheelchair Basketball and Track. He proudly wore jersey #20 on the Hot Shots Wheelchair Basketball team sponsored by the Variety Club.
Rob spent most of his life in the HEB area where he graduated from LD Bell High School in 1989 and then attended Tarrant County College. Following his calling, he attended The Sure Foundation Theological Institute where he graduated with a Bachelor of Church Ministry, a Trail Blazer Associate Degree, an Associate of Christian Studies and he was, currently, enrolled to earn his Master of Theology.
Rob retired with the Federal Aviation Administration after a long career. He was a long-time member of the Spina Bifida Organization of Greater Dallas and was the President of the Bikers of the Third Wheel. Rob was an ordained minister that counseled, blessed, and married many of his friends. Rob led many to know his Father God with his daily devotionals and sermons. Over the years, he was known as Pastor Pee-Wee and Pastor Rob.
In 2021, he married the love of his life, Michelle McCoy. Rob enjoyed spending time with his family and cherished everyone he met.
Rob is survived by his loving parents, Lawrence and Brenda Harville; sister, Leslie Burnett and her wife, Mitzi; niece, Bailee Wade and her husband, Michael; great nephews, Bowen and Briar Wade; aunt, Gayle Mitchell and her husband, Richard; uncle, Robert Harville and his wife, Linda; aunt, Bessie Jo Megason and many cousins and great cousins.
He is preceded in death and reunited with his loving wife, Michelle McCoy Harville; grandparents, Charlie and Hortense Jordan and Lawrence and Lessie Harville and cousin, Ricky Harville.
Even though Rob was on this earth only 53 years he left his mark on so many and will be truly missed.
