Lawrence J Davis
Larry Davis, of Fort Worth, Texas passed away on Thursday, March 15th in Fort Worth, Texas. He will always be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, and friend. He was born on November 10, 1936 in Clear Lake, Oklahoma to Lawrence and Loudilla Davis.
In his younger years, he enjoyed golf, fishing and boating. He was an avid sports fan who could tell you the ranking of every high school football team within a 250 mile radius of Amarillo. Nothing made him happier than to fall asleep on the sofa listening to a Dallas Cowboys game. He loved reading his Bible and strove to always continue advancing his knowledge and understanding of God. He spent many years traveling with his wife Sheila to every Christian lectureship that he could find. His greatest love though was his family. He was incredibly proud of his wife and daughters. He would brag to anyone who would listen about the accomplishments of his children and grandchildren.
Larry is survived by his wife, Sheila Davis of Fort Worth, TX, his sister, Linda Latham of Amarillo, TX, his 3 daughters; Deon Hughes of Arlington, TX, Lici Baker of Trophy Club, TX, and Gina Neely of Fort Worth, TX and 6 grandchildren: Van Neely, Emery Neely, Sloane Baker, Blake Baker, Donovan Hughes, and Grayson Hughes.
A time for visitation and sharing with family will be held from 10-11 am on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at Keller Church of Christ. Funeral services will be held immediately after visitation at 11 am. Interment will follow at Bourland Cemetery at 12:30pm.
