EULESS -- Larry Wallace, 65, passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2017.
Service: A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 Saturday in the Chapel of Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst.
Larry was born June 12, 1951 to Betty and Harold Wallace, the second of four children. He was active in Boy Scouts, where he received the merit of Eagle Scout and graduated from Ross Sterling High School in Houston. Larry attended Stephen F. Austin State University, where he met his wife Sharon, and received a Bachelor's degree in law enforcement from Southwest Texas State University. Larry then became a police officer, followed by retail management positions with Oshman's Sporting Goods and Harbor Freight Tools.
Larry & Sharon had three children Billy, Michelle, and infant Andrea Nicole who died shortly after birth.
After suffering a stroke in 2004, he retired and became a full-time grandpa to Matthew and Dominique, who were the joys of his life. He enjoyed reading, old movies, oldies music, leathercrafts, and especially woodworking. Larry had a gentle soul and compassionate heart. He never said no to helping a friend and could fix almost anything.
Larry was preceded in death by his father, William Harold Wallace, and infant daughter Andrea Nicole.
Survivors: He is survived by Sharon, his wife of 44 years; son William Kassel (Billy); daughter Ashley Michelle; grandchildren Matthew Donovan and Dominique Nicole; mother Betty Williamson Wallace; brother Scott Wallace and wife Linda; sisters Marilyn Shealey and husband Glenn, and Kim Lewis and husband Jim; numerous nieces and nephews, and very special friend, Don Sroufe.
